It's That Time Again for Terri's Testing
This week Terri is back in Houston for routine testing at MD Anderson. She will be undergoing a full day of testing tomorrow (Wednesday, September 16, 2009). Terri will then meet with one of her doctors on Thursday and the other doctor on Friday to go over her test results.
Please keep Terri in your thoughts and prayers, as the long hours of testing are tedious and stressful.

All Clear
Terri's tests confirmed that she is all clear--no more cancer!! She met with her liver surgeon on Thursday and was told that she doesn't have to check back in for another four months. Terri's other surgeon told her today that he doesn't need to see her for six months. Even though her doctors were confident that they were able to remove all of the tumors in December, these tests proved that Terri has fully recovered and is now in remission. She will continue to have these these tests performed every four to six months for the next five years.
Congratulations, Terri, you did it!!

Two Months of Being Tumor Free!
Today marks Terri's two months of being tumor free!! It was exactly two months ago from today that Terri was in surgery the entire day to remove not one, but over 20 some odd carcinoid tumors from her liver and chest. To say her surgery was a success is an understatement. Her doctors were awesome, but it was Terri's tenacity and speedy recovery that exceeded all expectations. She set her surgery recovery goals high to make it home for the holidays with her family. Terri was incredibly strong and fought hard to get back on her feet again.
I want to thank each and every one of you for every thing you did for Terri and her family to help her achieve her goals. From the fundraisers to the many wonderful hugs and prayers you shared with Terri, each one of you certainly made a difference in Terri's life. The love you extended to Terri contributed to her healing and I am still in awe of all the truly beautiful moments that were shared.
Terri returned to work (from home) on January 2, 2009 and hasn't really stopped going since then. She feels great and looks so good now that if it it weren't for her scars, you'd think it was all just a weird dream. She does have an upcoming routine follow-up exam with her doctors, but her doctors believe that she is in the clear!
Happy two months!!!!
